About the Inn

Cedar Spring Inn & Spa was built in 2001 as an exclusive residence, and was expanded in 2004 to provide a private, luxurious retreat for up to five couples. Designed by a noted Charlottesville architect, the home is dramatic in its use of antique timbers and reused oily and heart pine. Sited to take full advantage of a spectacular western mountain panorama, the house dances with light all day thanks to the generous use of windows throughout.

Luxury and Hospitality

The five spacious guest rooms offer a selection of comforts: beautifully appointed King beds, baths with soaking or jetted tubs, romantic fireplaces, private patios, private entrances. All guests enjoy access to the pool and spa, sauna and steam room. The spacious common areas invite conversation, reading, playing a game or just relaxing. There is a massive stone fireplace both inside and out, with abundant decks and patios - all open to the spectacular view. Enjoy a special breakfast while feasting on the beauty of the countryside!

Majestic Surroundings

Views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and thirty-six acres of meadows and woodlands provide a backdrop to the architectural gem which will house your stay. The property delights and surprises - follow a spring-fed stream beneath ancient cedars past an 1840’s cabin to the North Fork of the Rivanna River. Lounge on your private patio or deck, sit by the pool and spa... the floating morning mist and the brilliant evening sunsets provide an ever-changing mountain spectacle. It will captivate you with its majesty.

Location

The Inn is located 11 miles north of Charlottesville, just ten minutes from the airport in the Albemarle County magistrate of Advance Mills. We are 2.3 miles from Route 29 yet a world away. Within a half hour you’ll find something for everyone. Discover the history of three presidents’ homes: Monticello (Thomas Jefferson), Ash Lawn-Highland (James Monroe), and Montpelier (James Madison). Visit the University of Virginia, tour one of many area wineries, go shopping for antiques, drive the Blue Ridge Parkway or Skyline Drive. The adventurous may enjoy skiing or golfing, horseback riding, biking the local roadways, fishing and hiking on the property or in the Shenandoah National Park - even a balloon ride can be arranged for your enjoyment.

We look forward to welcoming you to Cedar Spring Inn!
